The verdict is in: The Globe agrees with most Eastie residents, naming Betty Ann's jelly donuts as the best. We used to have a dozen in the teacher's room every Friday at Savio back in the late 1990s, but by then I had given up donuts, so I've never actually had one.I've never even been in the Betty Ann Food Shop, as it has been closed every time I've ever walked by it. I will, however, have to make a point of stopping by one day when it is open.

I have been going to that bakery over 40 years--always excellent,best donuts,cakes around,and the prices are incredible--check it out--you wont regret it
