My fellow Americans?

Results of a Harris poll just released:

*67% of Republicans polled believe that Barack Obama is a socialist.
*57% of Republicans polled believe that Barack Obama is Muslim.
*45% of Republicans polled believe that Barack Obama "was not born in the United States and so is not eligible to be president.
*38% of Republicans polled believe that Barack Obama is "doing many of the things that Hitler did."
*24% of Republicans polled believe that Barack Obama "may be the Antichrist."

How does one react to such ignorance?

As much as I love bashing Republicans, is there a credible news source covering this poll? One that is not pushing a book? I can't seem to google the "full results of the poll," which should have been released on 3/23.

IMHO, books like "Wingnuts" don't do much to dispel the "campaign of fear and hate that has been pumped up in the service of hyper-partisanship."

Yikes. The anti-Christ one is especially glorious. Although I think it's pretty common when you have a polarizing, partisan President for people to flip out and overreact. I mean, look at the stuff some of the left was saying about Bush during the height of his controversy.

I would argue that only the first signifies ignorance. The rest signifies delusion.

I'm more disturbed by the fact that so far less than 10% of East Boston residents have turned in their census forms. The exception to this is in Orient Heights, where the return rate is more than 25%. But Eagle Hill and Jeffries Point only have about 5-9% returns.

We can do better than this, Eastie. Unless you don't want money for our schools, police and fire departments, or library, you need to fill out the census.

Yeah...but everything we said about Bush was true!

Sure the left complained, but I don't think you saw anywhere near the level of violent threats, etc. Did you see much real worry of violence when Bush was awarded the presidency by the supreme court? Nothing like today. The difference is amazing. My favorite line from a Barry Crimmins' article, "There's a nickel difference between a Democrat and a Republican. The Democrat will steal it from you, the Republican will kill you for it." Sad...
