The thieving hour?

According to the local police web site (via Universal Hub), a pair of robberies took place in Eastie a few blocks apart early yesterday within 10 minutes of each other, though it does not seem that they are connected.

The CVS in Central Square was held up at 2:40 a.m. by "a medium-dark complexion Hispanic male," who pointed a gun at the man behind the register and demanded cash. The suspect made off with between $300 and $400, and the fleeing car was seen heading north on Meridian Street.

Six minutes later, someone reported that he was mugged on Brooks Street between Bennington and Saratoga streets after leaving a nearby bar. A man was assaulted with a baseball bat by "two white/light skinned males, and one dark skinned male along with a female," who went into the victim's pockets and attempted to take his wallet.

There have been a number of violent occurences in East Boston lately.Last month the Metro published an article regarding the sharp increase in house breaks throughout the community.I am concerned that these events will escalate.

Hello about 1 month agao a man was murdered at 75 marion street

Crime sceen truck was there for 3 days, yet this stuff does not make the imposter paper calling it self the east Boston Times.

www.eastboston.com has the murder report.

Also to the first post about the trees,
did anyone see that walgreens sawed down the 2 brand new trees recently planted because it blocked thier sign.

Are they nuts ?

Hey been reading a bunch of posts on this site calling for the Times to say how many papers they print, and where they are printed.

Has anyone got a reply.

a 40,000 person town needs a real paper delivered door to door, and I mean every door, not just in the stores that advertise in it as I have been told.

Have a nice day
Shame on Walgreens

The Times prints between 3 to 5 thousand copies a week, depending on the revenue generated by advertisers. It has been that way for at least the last 15 years. I knew a couple of printers that did the paper out of Revere. If its still being printed there now,I dont know.A hundred at Lanzilli's,100 at the White Hens, etc. It makes it look like alot, but ask the people in the stores how many extras they throw out each week.
